Designer Joseph Altuzarra, the founder and creative director of the luxury women’s fashion brand Altuzarra, has launched his first home collection in partnership with retail store West Elm for its kidswear collection.
The Joseph Altuzarra for West Elm Kids collection combines design and function, says the home goods retailer, and includes furniture with a luxurious finish and decorative and textile accessories infused with the artist’s hand-drawn designs.
The 42-piece line of homeware for children was created to serve as a “love letter” to his two daughters. It features children’s bedding, pajamas, mirror lighting, and furniture for bedrooms that showcase his style and elegance while ensuring that it is kid-friendly.
In her remarks on the collaboration, Altuzarra stated: “I am thrilled to be working on this project with West Elm Kids on this collection of nursery and child’s furniture and accessories for rooms, which marks my first venture into home furnishings.
“When I became a father, I found an open space for elegant, chic interiors that were beautiful and practical. With West Elm Kids, we made pieces that seamlessly combine style and practicality by capturing the fun and joy from childhood.”
