One Direction star Louis Tomlinson has released the first collection of his premium luxury streetwear brand, 28, that embodies his Northern roots, music, and football traditions.
Drop 1, available on the brand’s site, takes inspiration from the football field to the skatepark. It showcases its distinctive 28-pointed geometric design across hoodies, T-shirts and shorts, joggers and track tops, and a cap.
The collection’s debut is packed with retro-inspired sports silhouettes such as soft, luxurious roll-neck light tops that pay tribute to the course and an elegant version of the football shirt in ecru and green, as well as heavyweight jersey hoodies as well as half-cab zip sweatshirts.
Other highlights include monogrammed track jackets made of a shower-resistant fabric with a crinkle-like finish.
“The collection trades on the nuance of aspiration and influence,” says the company in its press release. “To be interpreted by the consumer and adapted to a modern wardrobe, thrift shop chic silhouettes collude with luxury fabrics working together in tandem with an empathetic recognition and defined emotional resonance to Louis’ past.”
To introduce his label, Tomlinson has worked “in tandem with a pool of eminent creatives forming a trusted and seasoned collective to guide the product and the visual narrative” to create grassroots image shorts Jon Gorrigan wrote and styled by Helen Seamons.
For 28, start at $20 for full-length socks and up to 90 dollars for a sweatshirt or an athletic jacket.
