Three trend pieces from the series And Just Like That

The second season of And Just Like That – the sequel to the cult television series Sex and The City – has aired on HBO since June and is already influencing the fashion scene. UK retail chain Boohoo commissioned the show; Journo Research has identified the most sought-after pieces from the series.

The baguette bag

Italian Fendi, a luxury fashion house,’s baguette bags constitute a significant part of Sex and The City, released in 1998. It is also featured in its spinoff’s first and second seasons, And Just Like That. Experts have observed an increase of 170 percent in the number of people searching on Pinterest for baguette bags in the two seasons since it aired.

This iconic accessory from the 2000s – a decade in fashion for many seasons – was also the topic of a celebration in September 2022 to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the bag. Fendi held a memorable party on September 20th in New York to celebrate its most famous accessory. One of the guests was Sarah Jessica Parker, the main character of Sex and The City.

Blue heels

The luxury brand Manolo Blahnik is a recurring name in the episodes of Sex and The City and And Just Like That. Blue pumps are provided by the character Mr. Big in the first film and are featured in the latest episode that has seen global searches for “blue heels” on Google rise by 599 percent over the last three months.

Important to note: Searches on the search engine Stylight for shoes that are embellished diamonds or rhinestones have increased by 95 percent between 2022 and 2023 when compared with 2022.

T-shirts and sweatshirts that are oversized

Unlike Sex and the City, And Just Like That features simple, comfortable clothes. One item that was spotted was an oversized white sweatshirt with a minimalist design. This style’s simplicity, often seen in a cozy interior, shows the trend of big clothing.

Experts have noticed a rise in searches on “oversized t-shirt” and “oversized sweater” of 75 percent and 73 percent in the last year.
