Parisian brand Sandro has unveiled a partnership with Wrangler, Reinterpreting the American denim brand’s archived models for an AW23 collection.
The collection comprises ten items, including three sets of jackets and trousers. Each one is inspired by the cowboy look of the 70s and based on Wrangler’s trademark codes, like flap seams and flat rivets.
The first set is made in a brown woolly polyester. The others are made of faded denim with various colors of indigo.
Two sweatshirts and two cotton t-shirts complete the assortment, with beige and black colors and rainbow-themed logos embroidered.
Though it was developed through Sandro Men, the Sandro Men Design Studio, the design team evident it was created to be a versatile piece for females and males, furthering the idea of what Sandro declared to be its primary objective to develop works that call genders can useThe company also stated it was working with Wrangler and has implemented “sustainable design choices” into the clothing collection, including recycled polyester that is 50 percent in the wool jacket and trouser set.
Additionally, Sandro said the denim washes have been analyzed by an independent Environmental Impact Measurement (EIM) tool that monitors the effects of the process and its finishing process in terms of chemicals, energy, and water consumption.
